Sammanfattning: A study was conducted with the purpose of exploring if playful details in the environment would increase creativity. A creativity test (The Creativity Test – Drawing Production) was conducted to shed light on the environmental conditions impact on creativity. The manipulation of the non playful environment was composed using non playful candy. The manipulation of the playful environment was composed using playful candy. A questionnaire was conducted to state if perceived creativity was related to perceived playfulness. The study consisted of 43 participants. The creativity tests did not show any significant increase in creativity after manipulating the environment with a playful condition. Perceived higher creativity did not correlate with perceived higher playfulness. There were significant differences in perceived creativity and perceived playfulness between the workgroups. The group with significant higher perceived playfulness, with an indication of higher perceived creativity, demonstrates a higher score on the creativity test after the manipulation of the environment with a playful condition.
