Sammanfattning: Finnhamn is a group of islands that are located in the middle north part of Stockholm’s archipelagos. On the main island Stora Jolpan there is a camp called Sommargården, which consists of eleven different buildings in various sizes. The assignment given by the Archipelago foundation (Skärgårdsstiftelsen) is to analyze if it’s benefited to replace Sommargårdens current heating system that consists of electricity radiators, with a more energy efficient heating system.   This research is done with help of the literature review and a visit to Finnhamn in order to map Sommargården’s current state and its energy usage. With this knowledge models over the current energy requirement and distribution where made. These models stand for the foundation of the results and are compared with new energy systems. For these models many estimations concerning guest’s average behaviors where done. Based on the literature, Sommargårdens demands and prerequisites, air source heat pumps where the main focus for the continued analyze of a possible energy system. Energy efficient glasses were also investigated for a compliment.   Sommargårdens energy usage is varying from different months. The different months also have different distribution for where the energy is used. In colder periods of the year more energy is used to heat up the buildings and on the warmer periods more is going to heat up water. In 2012 about 19,3 MWh where used and 11,5 MWh where used to heat up the buildings.   The total cost to install heat pumps were estimated by the company “Varmt och skönt” to 16 000 SEK for every installed heat pump. The result from the calculated returned profit from the non-used energy given by the air source heat pumps in respective building, were not sufficient enough to give a returned profit over five years. Energy efficient glasses where not an option because saved energy for respective building compared to the high economical cost of every single glass.
