Psykoedukation vid ADHD - En intervjustudie av professionellas perspektiv från den vuxenpsykiatriska öppenvården
Sammanfattning: The aim of this study was to explore the professional experiences and views on psychoeducation with adult patients with ADHD. Semi-structured qualitative interviews were conducted with nine members of one interprofessional team in a psychiatric outpatient clinic in Region Skåne. The empirical data was analyzed through theoretical frameworks of empowerment and Antonovsky’s salutogenesis and sense of coherence. It was most common for professionals and interprofessional teams to perform psychoeducation either individually with patients or in groups. Psychoeducation appeared to be among the most important parts of patient work, even so many lacked a clear structure. It had to be adapted to, and in interaction with the patient, which was proven to be a challenge. Time and a high workload were considered among the biggest challenges. From a theoretical perspective the study found that obstacles in providing and receiving psychoeducation, also had a negative impact in terms of empowerment oriented work as for a salutogenic perspective and sense of coherence. Vice versa the study found that enabling and possibilities of psychoeducation had a positive impact. Thus, challenging factors exist in psychoeducation, a work that was considered by professionals to make a significant difference to the lives and health of ADHD-patients.
