Metodutveckling för sårbarhetsbedömning vid översvämningar orsakade av intensiv nederbörd - En tillämpning på Lunds Stad

Sammanfattning: The changing climate may contribute to more urban flooding in the future. This report intends to develop a model to identify areas in cities where the risk of flooding is high. Furthermore the report shows a way how the human vulnerability can be analyzed in these areas. The factors with the greatest impact on how an area can be flooded are considered to be the topography, the physical environment and the design of the drain- and sewage grid. What determine the extent of floods consequences are the items in the area that may have impact on human vulnerability. Human vulnerability is divided in this report into three categories, health, environment and safety. When the model was applied in Lund City it showed that the area Gastelyckan in southeastern Lund has the largest flood propensity. An analysis of the area showed that several items that could pose a threat to human vulnerability lies within the areas boundaries. This kind of methodology is not so common in the Swedish risk and vulnerability work, and in view of climate change and urban growth, this report is regarded as an important contribution to the municipal work on climate adaptation.
