"Fina ord är inte allt" : En fallstudie om konsekvenserna av det glapp som kan uppstå mellan en organisations värdegrund och dess praktik

Sammanfattning: The purpose of this case study is to investigate how employees feel about working in an organization with a value foundation where there is a discrepancy between the value base and the employees' perceived reality of the workplace. The case study has been conducted with four semi-structured interviews of employees, all of whom work in the same business within the healthcare-concern Ambea, one of the market-leading private care companies in much of the Nordic region. To understand the phenomenon we have used the sociological concepts of alienation with the dimension meaninglessness, powerlessness, normlessness and alienation from oneself and identity of regulation. In the analysis we find that the employees use different strategies to counteract the feeling of alienation and different role conflicts.
