Sammanfattning: During the migration and Vendel periods Helgö developed into a central location for cultic purposes, for trade and for manufacturing. Helgö consisted of a number of building groups and never developed into a town. The so called Coptic ladle might not be Coptic at all. It might have come from Western Europe together with the bishop’s crozier or from Eastern Europe together with Islamic silver coins.
