Beslöjade muslimska kvinnors upplevelser och erfarenheter på arbetsmarknaden
The purpose of this essay is to examine how veiled Muslim women feel that they are received in the labor market, and whether the veil affects their opportunities in this context. To carry out our study, we chose to make use of qualitative methods in which we interviewed eight veiled Muslim women. This method we felt was most suitable when you find out the reality of their experiences on how it is to find work as veiled in Sweden. The research approach that we think is most relevant to our research topic is Phenomenology. Phenomenology is based on capturing emotion and experience when an individual goes through something hard, or experiencing human experiences. Phenomenology we considered most suitable when we are interested veiled Muslim women's experiences. The theories we have used in our study are established and outsiders, stigma theory, integration and discrimination, and the veil policy.
