Subversiv virtualitet: En queerteoretisk tolkning av vad som händer i gränsen mellan det materiella och det virtuella

Sammanfattning: Drawing on technofeminist and queerfeminist theories this study examines how gender, body and emotions are made through videogames and in processes between the material and the virtual. Centering on how gender-structures limit subjects in conceptions of body and mind, I have conducted interviews with four gender-critical gamers, discussing genderidentities, emotions and experiences of video gaming. The result of the analysis concludes that female/ queer subjects can use videogames to deconstruct their notion of reality which reflects on the importance for feminist politics to reclaim the knowledge of technology.
