Sammanfattning: Physical inactivity is increasingly prevalent in today's society, and among adolescents for example, there has been a consistent downwards spiral in physical activity in recent decades. Despite the fact that it is well known that physical activity has several health benefits, physical inactivity is becoming increasingly common among adolescents in Sweden. The aim of the study is to investigate how to increase the physical activity among adolescents and how they have been affected by the Covid-19-pandemic.   The study used a qualitative approach and, through purposive sampling, five adolescents were interviewed in order to explore their perceptions regarding their physical activity and how they experienced their physical activity during the Covid-19-pandemic. The collected data got analyzed by using a transcription and then using a manifest analysis.   The results suggest that there are various factors that can promote adolescents physical activity, such as accessibility to outdoor gyms and motivation for physical activity. The results also indicate that there are various factors that have counteracted the participants physical activity such as the Covid-19 pandemic through restrictions on gyms and lack of motivation. The conclusions are that there are various factors that can promote and counteract adolescents physical activity such as motivation for physical activity that could be related to the social relationships. But social relationships declined during the Covid-19 pandemic, which reduced motivation.
