Att arbeta med hedersvåld och förtryck : en kvalitativ studie om socialsekreterares upplevelser och erfarenheter av hedersrelaterade ärenden

Sammanfattning: The intention with this study has been to research social workers experience in handling honor-related cases. I interviewed four social workers through semi-structured interviewing. The interviewed was both government practicing social workers and social workers who mainly practices different kinds of conversation support. Many topics were found to repeatedly appear through the interviews that were related to the interviewed experiences of handling honour related cases. Those topics were divided into different themes: 1) Knowledge/view of honour. 2) Experience, 3) Support and help, 4) Change over time, 5) Managers roll. To enable interpretation and understanding in analyzing I used theories of power, such as Foucault, because power is central in all themes. What is revealed in this study is that social workers knowledge, experience and understanding of honors related oppressiveness and violence was crucial for how the case was handled.
