Strävan efter ett bra läromedel: En studie om pianopedagogers perspektiv på undervisningsmaterial

Detta är en Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå från Lunds universitet/Musikhögskolan i Malmö

Sammanfattning: Since we started the Academy of Music, we've been more interested in piano material and reflected on what is in fact a good piano material. The study aims to investigate piano educators' thoughts on what characterizes a good music teaching material in piano, what parameters are important in their own creation of teaching materials and what piano educators want to achieve with their teaching. The data collection has taken place through qualitative interviews with four piano educators who conduct individual teaching and create their own teaching material. The literature chapter presents previous research in the areas: choice of teaching materials, layout, level adjustment, progression, perception, idiomatics and the influence of cultural contexts. The study has been inspired by hermeneutics, and materiality theories, as the meaning of affordance. The results show that a good teaching material for piano should be idiomatic, provide conditions for musical flow, follow a good progression and have a clear layout. The discussion of the results also show that the teaching situation affects the choice of material and that we must keep the student perspective in mind to know which material is preferred.
