Vad tänker du om cannabis?
Sammanfattning: The aim of this study was to find out secondary school pupils own opinions of cannabis in a development of legalization and liberalization of it in the U.S., nearly in California, Colorado, Washington and Columbia. What’s the opinion of cannabis if you ask young Swedish secondary school pupils? What’s their attitudes? What do they think of the development to a legalization and decriminalization of cannabis in the American states? I examined this subject by making qualitative semi structured interviews with ten young Swedish secondary school pupils in a middle big town in a middle big city. The result of this study showed that the young Swedish respondents took part against cannabis, and against smoking it. They didn´t want to be around with cannabis smokers. A few respondents showed some signs of liberalization and positive attitude. Cannabis is something fun you sometimes can use in parties, they said. I asked the respondents about their opinion of the legalization abroad and outside of Sweden. They answered that they knew cannabis was legalized in the U. S. One pupil said it was a bad way of helping people. It was bad morals to make it legal just to be able to make money on taxes on cannabis. One girl, the one who had a more liberal view said it was positive with the legalization because cannabis is a natural thing. In her answer I could see what seemed to be an impact, because she could tell that the legalization made her think it was a god idea. The respondents knew that cannabis could damage the brain. One thing I found out was that the respondents told that they often saw other students smoking cannabis but they themselves steadily kept away from it. Some students knew other marijuana smokers but they didn´t do it themselves. Only one had tried it.
