Säker arbetsmiljö vid anläggningsarbete med grävskopor och andra maskinredskap
Sammanfattning: Machines are a large part of most construction sites and used daily to perform various tasks. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how Skanska Sverige AB works with safety, the reasons to accidents connected to excavator buckets and the causal link between them. Furthermore, the aim is to investigate how these accidents can be prevented. The research begins with a literature study to obtain knowledge about excavators and how safety works at the constructionsites. Afterwards interviews were conducted on various projects and surveys were sent out to the officials and machinists. A case study was conducted to investigate different work tasks. Based on the result, the causal link was stress. Stress considered to be the reason for the lack of security control and incorrect locking of the buckets. To prevent stress, it is important to involve the employees for them to experience more control. To avoid lack of security control and incorrect locking, it is important to remind and pay attention to the employees. One of Skanska´s document regarding the security control should be updated. The document should include that the change and security control of excavator buckets should always be 180 degrees or at least five meters away from excavations. It should also include that the machinist always should make a visual control of the locking mechanism for the bucket.
