Sammanfattning: Currently, there is a lack of qualified workers of all categories in the construction industry in Sweden and it is difficult to recruit people with the right skills. Therefore, it's important that the construction industry works to increase its diversity and change the way people communicate with each other at the construction sites. This study is designed to investigate what the challenges of communication is today and what can be done to improve the communication. It has been limited to studying 'discriminating' communication between individuals based on: age, gender, religion or other beliefs, ethnicity and expression, disability, sexual orientation and gender identity and expression. The study is based on personal interviews followed by a questionnaire involving a total of 93 respondents. This provides a basis for how the 'inclusive' communication (where one feels part of the group) looks like at the case company today and how it can be improved. The results show that there are areas of improvement within the inclusive communication. The results show that inclusive communication at the individual level can be improved by people taking responsibility and by trying to understand how other people perceive what you say. It is also important to focus on all seven grounds of discrimination because today's society has chosen to focus most on gender as a problem in the construction industry.
