Reaktionskrafter från strålrör

Sammanfattning: Like all businesses there is also an interest in the fire service to always improve the efficiency of its work. This can be done in many different ways, for example by changing the existing formation of the local rescue organization or through the continued development of current methods and equipment that firefighters use. Most rescue services across Sweden are currently using low pressure pumps during normal fire situations; these are connected to a standard hose outlay and with a standard pump pressure of 10 bars, which has turned out to work well for firefighting. However, several new studies shows that increased pressure can create a better extinguishing effect. This leads to the question about how high the pressure can be, before it is no longer manageable for a firefighter to handle with consideration to the occurring reaction force. This report investigated which reaction forces appear for different nozzles with different pressure and flow configurations. When this is done subjective assessments are used in order to establish an acceptable force for different types of nozzles. Based on all the experiments this report showed that different nozzles got different assessments regarded to what was manageable when the exact same reaction force arose. According to the tests a regular nozzle is easier to manage than a fog nozzle at equal forces.
