Bedömning av brandspridning i tät trähusbebyggelse

Sammanfattning: The purpose of this report was to examine if there was an easy way for the rescue services to get knowledge about the possible consequences regarding a fire in an area of densely-built wooden buildings. By following the method proposed in this report rescue services can get an understanding if their capacity to combat a fire in this type of area is sufficient. The method is originated in two pathways of fire spread and by dividing them into sub-models and using typical parameter values for the area type a resulting checklist was obtained. The method can be used to determine the time until fire spread for six typical configurations and how many houses that will be subjected to a radiation level higher than the critical radiation level for wood.
