Miljöutredning och val av miljöcertifiering på Svalöfs gymnasium - naturbruk

Sammanfattning: This report contains an environmental investigation of the farming education at Svalöf’s upper secondary school in Svalöv. The work has followed the steps for an ISO 14001 certification. Two other certifications, EMAS and Grön Flagg, have also been analyzed to investigate which certification that would be most suited for this place. Information about the certification IP Sigill was also put together, because the school is already certified according to IP Sigill. Skolverket’s goals as well as locally approved environmental goals for Svalöv’s municipality were studied to be able to put together goals for the school. The result from the environmental investigation showed that the considerable environmental aspects for the school principally are about the use of energy as well as fertilizers and plant protectants. Environmental goals were put together for the categories energy and water, chemicals and also for waste products and other sections. Identification of legal and other requirements relevant for the school showed that the Environmental Code is the most important. A proposal to an environmental policy with constant improvement as a main thread was developed for the school. For a work with Grön Flagg the themes “climate and energy”, “consumption” and “circular flow” was presented as most important to work with. In choice of environmental certification the conclusion was that ISO 14001 was the most suited for a school including a relatively large-scale farming. For an improved engagement from the students it is recommended to establish an environmental group.
