Survey-studie på Hyllonox och Woodcoat

Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från SLU/School for Forest Management

Sammanfattning: The pine weeil (Hylobius abietis) is a beetle that eats bark on smaller plants, which can cause plants to die in the event of severe attacks. Without increased protection measures, up to 90 per cent of the plants are estimated to die in the pine weeil reared areas in southern and central Sweden. The background to this study is that the planters of Svenska Skogsplantor during the season 2018 warned that the coating on Woodcoat and Hylonox treated plants was not sufficiently covering. The aim of the study is to find out if it is a recurring problem on all plants or only on single batches. And to see if you can find any differences in the frequency of damage between Woodcoat and Hylonox treated plants. In the study, 22 per cent of the plants treated with Woodcoat were attacked by pine weeil while the corresponding figure for Holonox was 18 per cent.
