Brandteknisk riskvärdering av Västerport köpcentrum

Sammanfattning: The following report contains a fire safety evaluation of Västerport Köpcentrum in Nyköping. The focus of the report has been personal security during evacuation. The report is a part of the course Fire Safety Evaluation given by the Department of Fire Safety Engineering and System Safety at the Lund Faculty of Engineering, Lund University in Lund, Sweden. Västerport Köpcentrum is a 5000 m2 shopping mall. The report evaluates three different fire scenarios and possibility to evacuate safely. The scenarios are simulated in FDS to see when critical conditions occur. The simulation program Simulex is used to estimate the time until the mall is evacuated. These two times are compared and conclusions are made. The report also gives proposals that should attend to improve the fire safety and some measures that are to be made by the law.
