Sammanfattning: Physical Education is an obligatory subject in upper secondary school and the motivation differs among the students. Some students find it boring while others really enjoy the subject. It is possible to choose some kind of specialized physical education, where you specialize yourself in some form of the sport you practice. The purpose of this study is to investigate the motivation and joy of specialized physical education students linked to physical education and investigate whether there are any differences between specialized physical education students and other students. The result was produced by questionnaires which showed that specialized physical education students are more motivated and feel more joy towards the subject. There may be various factors for exactly the result that is shown. Including that specialized physical education pupils, possibly, often are used to more physical activity than the other pupils, but also that they naturally are drawn towards it. And feel more joy to what the individual does, which interact with inner motivation.
