Sammanfattning: In this study, the Swedish parliamentary parties' views on crime prevention measures in relation to gang crime are presented. The effective measures to solve gang crime described in research are based on information from the Crime Prevention Council, which later are compared with each parliamentary parties' view on gang crime. This is presented by studying each parties' action plan against gang crime. All parties propose increased resources for the police to prevent crime, which corresponds with the research made by the Crime Prevention Council. Most parties want tougher legal measures for serious crimes. On the other hand, the Swedish Crime Prevention Council shows that tougher legal measures are not long-term solutions to the problem.
