Skapandet av en audiovisuell livekonsert. En studie av publik och musikers upplevelser av ett audiovisuellt samspel

Sammanfattning: This is an artistic study that aims to investigate the process of audiovisual composing and the experiences of musicians and audience of an audiovisual concert. Four audiovisual pieces were composed for this study and then rehearsed and performed by five musicians. The musicians played with interactive projections reflecting the musical attributes pitch, timbre and loudness. After the concert, three of the musicians and three individuals from the audience were interviewed. The qualitative interviews were open for any reflections the subjects had about the concerts and the audiovisual interplay. The result shows that the projections could help draw focus towards certain musical attributes or certain musicians and that they created a playful and inspirational feeling amongst the musicians performing. The technical solutions were not always stable and sometimes that would hinder the musicians’ creativeness or the perceived interplay between audio and visuals.
