Antirasism - En beskrivande idéanalys av den antirasistiskt förda debatten i media

Sammanfattning: The aim of this thesis is to examine which anti-racist ideas that have been characteristic in the Swedish media debate, the months before the election 2014. The hypothesis was constructed by the fact that the anti-racist movement is perceived as polarized. The study describes and interprets five articles, written by anti-racists, in the Swedish daily press, which forms the material. The study is made by an analysis of the ideas, which are found in anti-racism. The analysis of the study is based on two dimensions. One consists of the view of racism, and the other one is composed by the division between universalism and relativism. The resultat shows an ambiguous view of the understanding of racism. It also shows that both universalism and relativism are represented in an anti-racist position. The investigation indicates a lack of an united front against racism in Swedish media. The conclusion of the study is that the anti-racists disagree about what constitutes the issue of racism.
