Kartläggning av materialflöde inom och till tre produktionslinjer för volymelementtillverkning
Sammanfattning: This master’s thesis was written at Götenehus AB, a house construction company based in Götene. Götenehus was founded in 1931 and has a long history of house construction with so-called prefabricated elements and have an assortment of residential houses, villas and holiday cottages in both modern as well as classic style (Götenehus 2016).The thesis was performed in Götenehus newest plant, H-hall, there the company produces modules for modular buildings with four production lines. The thesis only concerned three of these lines: the exterior wall line, the joist line and the interior wall line which consist of six, four and two stations. The exterior and interior wall lines produces exterior and interior respectively walls and the joist line produces the roof and floor of the modules. The modules are then assembled and completed in the fourth line, which is called the module flow, which isn't included in this thesis.One of the problems at the company is that there isn`t any system for how the material handling should be managed. In other words, is there are no regulations on what, where and how much material should be placed at the stations, nor when and how much material should be fetched. The company suspects that there could be wastes in the material handling, and this is of interest in terms of minimizing excessive costs as It doesn`t add value.The report also contains a substantial theoretical frame of reference of that the project group considered most relevant and thusly could the project group go through with and analyse the chosen methods. From the results there were some conclusions regarding potential improvements.From the theoretical frame of reference, literature study and the collected data there were a couple of improvement proposals made on how the material handling should be managed in the H-hall. The proposals consists of using the 5S-method to remove all the unnecessary material at the stations, new placements of material and the acquisition of new material shelves to store consumables.When the improvement proposals were finished the different aspects of the work were discussed based on how well it had been performed and what could had been done differently. The improvement proposals were also discussed and evaluated on how well they satisfied the goals of the thesis and finally some suggestions for the future were made.
