Sammanfattning: Title: Flamenco - Strategies in the teaching and learning process of flamenco guitar The purpose of this study is to investigate the flamenco style of music as an art form and from a theoretical, historical and musically educational perspective. There is little or no flamenco literature written in Swedish. This means that flamenco performers in Sweden, who have no knowledge of the Spanish language, have trouble assimilating the literature of the subject. Therefore, I have chosen to place great emphasis on the theoretical side of flamenco. My main reason for choosing this goal is to make it possible for Swedish people to understand flamenco from a theoretical and historical perspective, not just musical. This is something that I believe is fundamental to the understanding of this art form. Another objective of this study was to investigate flamenco from the perspective of the teacher. The study is based on qualitative research and survey research. An important research question has been to investigate what are considered the most difficult elements in flamenco guitar for Swedish people. Studies show that the guitar technique and rhythm are considered the most challenging to learn. They also show the importance of totally devoting yourself to flamenco to understand and appreciate it in its entirety.
