Är möbleringarna SISådär?

Detta är en Master-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö

Sammanfattning: The purpose of the project has been to investigate how people dwell and furnish in recently build apartments. The project consists of a dwelling survey where 14 tenants in four different types of apartments, architects, realtors and an availability expert are interviewed to give their view on how Swedish regulations regarding housing corresponds to how people live, and want to live. The project compares how the different apartments are furnished on the plans when handed in to the municipality for building permits, when sold to the customers and in real life by the person who lives there. The project investigates if and how the design of the apartment limits the choice of furniture, and how the regulations architects follow affect the dweller’s choice of furtniture. The project also tries to figure out how, in the future, architects can design to perhaps better meet the dwellers’ needs and wishes. The project investigates both apartments which the dwellers have bought and are renting and compare the two types from a furnishing perspective. The method that has been used is a qualitative method and the empirical material has been gathered through semi structural interviews. The dwellers’ stories have been summarized and sorted to each apartment type and thereafter discussed together to try to answer the questions asked in the project. The result of the project shows that there is a great difference between how people furnish their apartments and think about furnishing and the regulations which in great extent form contemporary apartments.
