Smart Termometer
Sammanfattning: When cooking in the oven, knowing the temperature is crucial. However, regular thermometers are not suited for extended usage in the oven, and repeatedly opening the oven to measure quickly gets tiring and unpractical. Today, some ovens have integrated thermometers for easy access to temperature, displaying the temperature on the oven. However, many ovens lack this feature, and all ovens still require the cook to be in the direct vicinity to check the temperature. The few solutions to this that exist are all expensive and have batteries in the oven. This paper will investigate alternate solutions to this issue, without involving expensive components or integrated batteries. The results were that it is indeed possible to wirelessly measure temperature in an oven, without an integrated battery. The method used was to measure the impedance of an LC-circuit through magnetic coupling, and through the impedance find the resonance frequency. This frequency was then used to find the temperature of the Ccomponent, which matches the temperature of the object being cooked.
