En studie av transversalmoräner i västra Småland

Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

Sammanfattning: The purpose of the investigation was to explain the genesis of transverse ridges in the south Bolmen area, western Småland, south Sweden. A geomorphological map was made of an area with 39 transverse moraine ridges and a sedimentological study was carried out in one of them. The ridges were interpreted to be made out of mass movement till which was deposited supraglacially in troughs of a stagnant ice, rich in glacial debris. The glacial debris that was concentrated in the troughs became ridges when the ice finally melted.
