Sammanfattning: Abstract Author: Christopher Zaar Title: Breakdown – is it possible to prognosticate in MTFC with the help of PDR-lists? Supervisor: Martin Olsson Assessor: Anders Östnäs In Sweden in 2007 10100 children and youth were placed in some kind of twenty-four-hour care. The majority of these placings were in so called family homes and the most common reason for placing a youth in such a home was anti social behavior. The family home placing for the youth that showed anti social behavior often ended in a breakdown. Today there is a method which works with family homes and youth with anti social behavior, Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care. Within this method an assessment sheet is used with the purpose of checking behavioral changes in the youth and this tool is called Parent Daily Report (PDR). The aim of this essay has been to inquire into whether or not there was a statistic connection between the results of the Parent Daily Report (PDR) lists and a breakdown in Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care. The study is based on a total of 200 lists. Questions such as “What factors are there which might reduce the risk of breakdown?” and “Does the MTFC method have fewer breakdowns compared to the traditional family home care in Sweden?” The most important conclusion that this study has come to is that there is a statistic connection between breakdowns in MTFC and the PDR lists. Keywords: Breakdown, Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care, Parent Daily Report lists, Antisocial, conduct disorder.
