Managing a Work Environment using Sensor Networks

Sammanfattning: During the last decade sensor networks and Internet of Things have been gaining a lot of attention. One area where it is still fairly unused is to manage work environments. With sensor networks and Internet of Things devices it is possible to measure and control noise levels, air quality and most other aspects of reality. In this thesis a system for managing a work environment is designed and implemented. The thesis conducted a case study at Internationella Engelska Gymansiet Södermalm, where a test system was installed to find out how it would affect the work environment, and how the users of the system react to it. The results from the essay shows that it is possible to manage some aspects of work environments if the users have the intention of using the system.
