Sammanfattning: This study examines the citizens of Kristinehamns municipallity intrinsical influence over the political decision-making process via citizen dialogue, on the behalf of the popularity it has emerged the past ten years. The overall research question is if the citizen aquire greater practical  political influence via citizen dialogue. The study is leaning against a participatory democracy theory that introducees a broader participation on behalf of the citizen. According to the participatory democracy theory, the citizens participation in the political process makes them develop themselfs and the democracy. Here, the focus also is on the individuals own participation and influence. The study generates both qualitative and quantitve data and it’s presented in a analytical tool. The result indicates that the citizens intrinsical influence is limited. The main reason for this outcome is due to the lack of co-creating; politicians, clerks and citizens in between, but also due to the lack of communication and trancparancy from the politicians and the clerks part.
