Sammanfattning: The purpose of this essay has been to investigate how the treath of sexual violence and sexual harrasement is experienced by eight young women in Malmö. Sexual violence and sexual harassment is in swedish society seen as a social problem which must be regulated by law, and socialy delt with. Although, in our opinion, this is only half the truth. It is not a misjudgement to state that sexual violence and sexual harassment is a social problem, but also the fear of sexual violence and sexual harassment must be seen as a one. By interviewing eight women in the agerange from 23 to 28 years, our essays aim is to answer questions of how the treath is seen, when the treath is experienced, and how the threat restricts women in their daily life. Factors of why women experience a fear of sexual violence and sexual harassment is also given. In the analysis Berger and Luckmans thesis concearning social constructivism is used.
