Sammanfattning: This research aims to examine POC (person of colour) women’s experiences of structural discrimination within recruitment for the social services. Thus, this research will continue to examine the experienced consequences of structural discrimination within recruitment towards POC women. This paper will conclude by examining the different coping strategies the women embody when being exposed to structural discrimination within recruitment. The chosen theoretical framework are institutional discrimination, intersectionality, and coping strategies, in relations to discrimination. The chosen methodical approach to execute this research is the qualitative analysis. To gather the empirical material this research implemented six semi structured interviews with POC women, that has gone through a recruitment process within the social services. The empirical evidence was analyzed through thematic analysis. The material presented indicated that POC women experience structural discrimination within recruitment for the social services, even though the experienced discrimination is against the discrimination Act 2008:567. Furthermore, this research encourages future POC and non-POC social workers to examine the structures in society that exclude and limits POC women. By doing so, POC women’s voices will be heard, and equality can prevail.
