"Varför är du här om du har pojkvän?" En intervjustudie om bisexuella kvinnors erfarenheter av öppenhet och bemötande.

Sammanfattning: This is a study of bisexual women, or women with bisexual experiences, that have the experience of a male partner and how these women get treated based on their sexuality. I am focusing on the area of Lund and Malmö. My interviewees are between 20 and 30 years old and are or have been students. I want to see how they feel they can move in different spaces depending on what atmosphere the space has. In my analysis I use Sara Ahmed’s queer phenomenology, where she theorises orientation in different spaces and uses concepts of comfort or discomfort. I am also using Judith Butler and her theory of the heterosexual matrix, how everything in our society is built upon the notion that there are two sexes and they are attracted to each other. My conclusion is that bisexual women often want to be part of the Lgbtq-community, but it is hard for them to be welcomed and accepted – especially if they have a boyfriend or only have experiences of boyfriends. My interviewees feel like they encounter biased opinions on their sexuality but that it is worse from the Lgbtq-community, where they are seen as heteropassing and not loyal.
