An inductive content analysis was performed on the data.   Results:The study yielded two main categories which affected the participants activity and participation; Prosthetic limb and a Psychosocial environment. Conclusion: This study gives a deeper understanding of facilitators and barriers affecting activity and participation for individuals with a prosthesis. The results of this study highlight the complexity of the issue and the importance of both the prosthetic device and psychosocial environment. The study gives an insight into factor contributing to different levels of activity and participation and it can help to improve the outcome for prosthetic users.
