Sammanfattning: The purpose of this study has been to look at four peoples life stories about their experiences of drug use over time as well as to share their individual attitudes, and possible experiences, of drug-related support and treatment. The life stories of these four people were collected through semi structured interviews, after which they were analyzed based on narrative aspects conveyed in their stories, i.e. the subjective perception of the different events in their lives and their views on treatment interventions. A qualitative content analysis was conducted based on predefined themes. The stories were analyzed on the basis of previous research, realistic ontological approach and Goffman's stigma theory. The results briefly showed that the individuals that were interviewed had their debut with drugs at around the same age. Everyone of them started off with trying hasch and marijuana the first time and they did it in company of their friends. They have all had different experiences with drug-related support and treatment, but at the same time their opinions on some of the support and treatment that exists in Sweden are similar. Furthermore their social networks are similar yet have big differences and their fright of being caught by police or other instances of justice is palpable.
