Sammanfattning: In this studie I looked deep into help to-self-help books that treat the subject; women's burnout in working life. Through discourse analysis I tried to discover different discourses and patterns in the writers texts. My purpose with this study was to try to understand how writers to help-to-self help books describes women in relation to women's burnout in working life from a gender perspective. To do so it was necessary for me to use discourse analysis to be able to go behind the actual writing and look for unspoken but still shown discourses and patterns. The most important results from this study was my discovery that the writers, who intend to help women who are burned out in working life with their books, tried to make the women to fit into gender structures that suppresses them. In that way the help-to-self-help-books established instead of released gender structures in society. The result showed that also women in society, women who were writers, were a part of the reproduction of structures that in the same way suppresses them.
