Sammanfattning: The aim of this study is to examine how students perceives the subject religious education in contrast to normative differences between believers and non-believers. The theory is based on post-secularism, and the previous research shows that religious education is failing to provide students with knowledge of faith and belief within the context of the present. The result    is based on interviews about faith and religiosity in relation to religious education. The study shows us that students, regardless of their personal belief, don’t relate to the religious education on a personal level. The subject does not match the expectations in relation to relevance and contemporary perspective. Religious belief is within post-secularism part of the modern society and the modern human, but atheism is what the students advocateswhen it comes to investigations and critically reviewing belief. The study confirms that normative differences are reinforced by the subject religious education.
