Är det skillnad på barn och barn? : - En kvalitativ studie om socialtjänstens LVU-utredningar
Sammanfattning: The reception of large numbers of unaccompanied children seeking asylum in 2015 involved a considerable undertaking on the part of the municipalities to achieve a good long-term system of reception. Some of these children have subsequently been subjected to compulsory care, following LVU'-investigations, made by the Social Service. This practice has been criticized by The Parliamentary Ombudsmen (JO), for taking children into compulsory care, despite the fact that the law’s criteria where not met. The aim of this study was to examine the Social Service’s investigations regarding unaccompanied children and explore if there are any differences in these investigations, compared with investigations on Swedish-born children. Our study directs attention to some of these LVU-investigations through a qualitative text analysis, based on Social Service’s LVU-investigations, with an even distribution between unaccompanied children and Swedish-born children. The analysis was based on three different themes: signs of differentials, cultural differences and the Swedish diagnosis. The result demonstrates that there are differences between the two studied groups. The differences appear in the way the two studied groups are presented in the investigations, and also in the matter of the structure- and the contents of the investigations.
