Engelsktalande invandrarkvinnor berättar om nationalitetskänsla, svenskhet och in/exkludering

Sammanfattning: How do English speaking women from USA and England who live in Sweden relate to nationality and inclusion and how is this affected by ethnicity, age, sex, and language skills? The aim of the study is to present an immigrant group often overlooked in Swedish research and immigration debates. With an intersectionality perspective and theories about nationality and in/exclusion the material which consists of qualitative interviews with four women is analyzed. Two of the women identified themselves with the politics of Sweden, one with language and one with the food culture. The matter of ethnicity was important with how the women felt accepted into the Swedish society. Ethnicity, age, sex, and language skills was affecting how the women experienced life in Sweden with regards to unemployment and in/exclusion.
