Sammanfattning: Making money quickly and easily is something that most of us would without a doubt want to do. The process of doing this is however harder than most people imagine. YouTube has long been a platform for sharing ideas and creating entertainment content, but is it possible to use this platform to make money on the stock market? The goal of this study is to evaluate if there is a possible relationship between the abnormal returns of the stocks that are recommended on YouTube videos, and the sentiment behind the videos. Using data that measures the sentiment of the stocks that are recommended to the audiences of the channels, several regressions were conducted to test for a relationship. It became evident that such a relationship did not exist. Though this holds true, other findings, such as the individual cases of extreme abnormal returns turned out to be of great interest in this study. This study also faced a few issues that may have had some implications on the models.
