Manliga och Kvinnliga Riskkapitalister! Finns det skillnader?

Sammanfattning: The purpose of this study is to investigate which factors affect male and female Venture Capitalists. Furthermore, this study aims to provide support for venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and interested researchers seeking greater knowledge about venture capitalist’s investment process. The aim of this research is to be able to orient these individuals in their future investment choices and to have a starting point to reflect on before making their decisions. This study is based on both primary and secondary data. Secondary data have been applied in the form of previous studies and research on risk capitalists, to compile research carried out on the subject and facilitate future research. The theoretical reference framework consists of factors that influence risk capitalists investment decisions, risk and elimination with the account of differences between female and male venture capitalists in investment decisions. Since this study studies deeper knowledge in a process, a qualitative method has been applied in the form of eight semi structured interviews with eight venture capitalists located in Stockholm. The result shows some resemblance to previous research, but there are other variables that were not previously investigated.
