Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Socialhögskolan

Sammanfattning: The aim of this study is to interview social workers from different units in the social services. We have taken a starting point in a cooperation group called Rosen. Rosen is a fictitious name. We chose a fictitious name to maintain the anonymity of the two interviewees who are working in Rosen. Rosen was formed in 2011 with the aim of giving victims of domestic violence an effective support. Furthermore we want to examine how social workers argue about cooperation regarding victims of domestic violence. Additionally we want to examine beneficial and challenging precision of cooperation as a method. The result of the study shows that cooperation between professions can be a challenging method. According to the interviewees the method seems to be challenging when the division of responsibilities is vague, when the leader is inactive, when the professions are fighting for their perspectives, but also entering the cooperation with a negative attitude. However, the method seems to be beneficial when the participants show openness to one another but also adopt a positive attitude. This essay also shows that cooperation regarding victims of violence can be seen as a necessity according to the interviewees. This is due to the fact that it claims to accomplish empowerment and independence with the clients. When the qualifications to function are present, cooperation seems to be the recommended method to accomplish its purpose and goal. However, when the qualifications to function are absent cooperation is not stated to be the most recommended method. To summarize the results, there are several circumstances that can affect cooperation regarding victims of violence being either beneficial or challenging.
