Sammanfattning: The electronics industry has several sustainability issues, and these are not communicated to the consumer so that they can make more conscious choices when they are buying consumer electronics. The aim of this thesis is to develop a multi-criteria decision analysis method that uses social, environmental and economic criteria to evaluate the sustainability performance of a producer of consumer electronics, from a lifecycle perspective. Nine criteria, 35 sub-criteria and 76 parameters were identified and prioritized by an expert group using fuzzified analytical hierarchy process and an Estimate-Talk method. The method was then applied on a couple of companies that got their sustainability performance evaluated, to be able to analyse the method properly with a sensitivity analysis. For future research, both the criteria and the weighting process can be developed further to minimize the uncertainty of the method. The conclusion of the thesis is that it succeeded in developing an evaluation method that can evaluate the sustainability performance of a producer of consumer electronics.
