Produktutveckling av en sadelpadd

Sammanfattning: Den här rapporten redogör för utveckling, design och sömnadskonstruktion för en sadelpadd. Rapportens ämne valdes för att jag fann det intressant och har själv stort intresse för hästar och produktutveckling. Fokus på rapporten låg på att ta fram en fungerade prototyp som testades av hästägare för att se om en distansväv skulle klara av att vara det stötdämpande och tryckutjämnande materialet i en sadelpadd. Rapporten och utvecklingen av rapporten bygger på en enkätundersökning och några intervjuer med relevanta personer insatta i ämnena sadelpadd och ryggskador hos hästar. Utifrån den insamlade informationen från de intervjuade och de som svarade på enkäten samt tidgare skrivna källor gjordes en studie i hästars uppkomst av ryggbesvär. Även hur man kan använda en sadelpadd för att rehabilitera samt ge bättre passform till en sadel. Utifrån studien gjordes en kravspecifikation som sadelpadden skulle ha för att uppfylla funktionen som en sadelpadd. De högst listade kraven var att den skulle vara stötdämpande, tryckutjämnande och ha en luftkanal. Luftkanalen för att ge hästen spelrum för kunna ha ryggraden fri och rörlig. Efter kravspecfikationen gjordes skisser och prototyper. I analysen och diskussion tar jag upp problem eller lösningar jag stötte på under studien. I min analys kom jag fram till att prototyp 3 måste testats åtskilliga timmar för att se om distansväven verkligen klarar av de påfrestningar den utsätts för. Vilket fick bli ett framtida projekt, på grund av material-, tids- och kapitalbrist i skrivande stund. The subject was chosen by me because I found it interesting and have a great interest in horses and product development. The focus of this report was to develop a well functional prototype, which was tested by horse owners to see if a spacer fabric would work as shock absorber and pressure distributor material in a saddle pad. The report and the development of the report are based on a survey and some interviews with relevant person’s stakes in the subjects sadelpadd and back injuries in horses. Based on information gathered from those interviewed and those who responded to the survey, and previously had written sources, a study in horses with back problems and how to use a saddle pad to rehabilitate and provide a better fit to a saddle. Based on this study, a requirement specification that saddle pad would have to fulfill the function as a saddle pad. The highest listed requirements were that it would be shock absorbing, pressure distributor and have an air duct. The air duct gives room for the horse to have their spine free and movable. After the requirements specification was made sketches and prototypes. In the analysis and discussion I will mention problems and solutions I encountered during the study. In my analysis, I concluded that the prototype 3 must be tested several hours to see if the spacer fabric is really cope with the pressures it is exposed to. What had to become a future project, due to material, time and lack of capital at the moment.
