Folket och hemmet - En ideanalytisk studie av Per Albin Hanssons och Jimmie Åkessons användning av begreppet folkhemmet

Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Statsvetenskapliga institutionen

Sammanfattning: In this thesis, it is investigated whether Per Albin Hansson and Jimmie Åkesson's concepts of “Folkhemmet” (Peoples Home) are comparable. This is done with a method that combines idea analysis and concept analysis. In concrete terms, this analysis is done in two ways. First with the help of specific analysis tools, which when applied to the selected material highlight interesting aspects. Then an analysis is made with the help of the idea-analytical dimensions. The thesis concludes that there are certain points of contact between the two actors' way of using the term ”Folkhemmet” (Peoples Home), but there are also several differences. The similarities are that they both prioritize equality and community very highly. The differences are all the greater. Hansson strives for society to develop towards an economic democracy, which means, among other things, that the people must have control over the means of production. Åkesson, on the other hand, prioritises a society with a strong nationally based Swedish culture. He sees the existing immigration policy and multiculturalism as the biggest threats to ”Folkhemmet” (Peoples Home).
