Förklaringsmodeller till missbruk och beroende inom missbruksvården.  : En kvalitativ studie av socialarbetares förklaringsmodeller vid bedömning av insats för personer med missbruksproblem

 The purpose of this study was to study social work models to explain addiction in the assessment of response to people with addictions. This study investigated how social workers' explanations are shaped by their experiences, theoretical points influenced by research in a discretion is affected by organizational conditions, manuals, evidence-based practice and national guidelines in an investigative process. The material in this study has emerged through interviews with four social workers in the social services department for addiction and dependence. The essay is a qualitative study with personal interviews as the basis for the result. The study begins with a description of addiction and dependence, current laws on the matter, and officer's work. The study also presented organizational conditions, national guidelines and evidence-based practice. The knowledge review concerns we have two major disagreements in the research, these are biological / biochemical - and psycho-social approach to addiction and dependence. The study's theoretical part, we have chosen to illustrate the action theory and the naive theory. The results chapter presents respondents' answers which made it possible for authors to link analysis section to selected theories. In the concluding discussion section presents the key elements of the result of interaction with the authors' own reflections. The results show that the respondents maneuver is affected by various factors. Respondents were able to clearly refer to the organizational conditions that hampered their freedom of action. One of them was cooperation with other actors. The lack of a better cooperation between the municipality and the county council in order to interface different interventions for people with extensive care needs. Furthermore, they sought a clear and self-directed addiction treatment within the organization. We also believe that they do not follow a specific theory in the field. However, there have been clear similarities with the biological and biochemical approach, suggesting that they do not reflect upon their theoretical basis. The respondents felt that their past experiences and actions are more important than scientific knowledge.KEYWORDS: Addiction, dependence, explanatory models, interaction.
