Samband mellan medarbetarskap och arbetstillfredsställelse samt branschskillnader i medarbetarskap
Sammanfattning: Abstract The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between employeeship and job satisfaction. Research has shown that job satisfaction has favorable effects for both the organization and the individual. It has also shown that job satisfaction and variables seen as part of employeeship correlate. However, to the knowledge of the authors no previous study has been performed to examine the correlation between job satisfaction and employeeship as a whole. Further the study examines if employeeship differs between industries. A total of 140 participants from nine organizations completed two questionnaires: Work-Oriented Relationships and Knowledge-based Investigation Questionnaire (Bertlett & Arvidsson, 2009) that measures employeeship, and parts of Job Diagnostic Survey (Hackman & Oldham, 1980) that measures job satisfaction. The results showed at large a significant positive correlation between employeeship and job satisfaction. In order to compare industries the organizations were divided into Processing industry, Trade and Telecom. The study showed significant differences in employeeship depending on industry, where the Processing industry showed a lower employeeship compared to Trade and Telecom. The meanings of the results were discussed.
