Sammanfattning: The goal has been to come up with a design proposal for Lund Botanical Garden. Botan, which the garden is called in daily speech, is part of a project together with, Länsstyrelsen Skåne on native endangered species. One of their tasks in the project is to showcase the plant material and inform the public about the project and the plants. It is for the part of the garden which is meant to contain this exhibition the design proposal in this paper is made for. It has been important in the design to take into account regulations regarding the garden, its history, purpose and mission, and the fact that the garden is protected as a building memory. The design has been based on an analysis and conversation with the staff at the Botanical Garden. After initial meetings, a concept was formulated, which has been the target image for this project. The work also deals with the design process itself. Getting a deeper understanding of this process has been a big part of the work. Is the process something we learn or do we possess an inner ability? There are some tools described in the literature that can help in the process. However, the question is whether these are used during the designprocesse or in the analysis of the created form? This work does not give any exact answers to these questions, but a theory based on my own experience. It is Possible that the theory precented can work as a guid for designers who wish to understand their own designing process.
