ÄR KOMMUNIKATION NYCKELN TILL ALLT? : En kvalitativ studie om upplevelser av den psykosociala arbetsmiljön och chefers konflikthanteringsstrategier

Sammanfattning: The purpose of this study is to examine experiences of the psychosocial work environment and conflict management, from both a managerial perspective and an employee perspective. To answer the purpose and the four issues, three different conflict management strategies, the concept ofpsychosocial safety climate and the theory of social ties have been used. With a qualitativeapproach, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 6 respondents from different industries, four managers and two employees. The data material was analyzed using thematic analysis. The overall result mainly shows that a good psychosocial safety climate depends on a well-functioning communication among both employees and managers, this because lack of communication is perceived as the most common cause of conflicts, and good communication is the solution to conflicts.
